Turning Over a New Leaf
I'm thrilled with the idea of starting something new in my career. I felt I was spinning my wheels trying to do so much to run a website all by myself by managing the design and development by my self without prior project management. I will now be embarking on a 10-15 month program to get my multimedia skills up to speed with current technology standards in mobile media and web video. My employer will be acquiring filming equipment and will be shifting my focus on adapting in-house video for the web and possible a larger documentary. I found an eLearning college to get a professional certificate to add to my resume. If I can keep my edge and passion on track with progress to show for, I can overcome the setbacks earlier in my career. Routine is key. So if I can get in the healthy habit of watching lectures, reading lecture material and applying myself to homework daily I should be alright. As a side note, I found making a career adjustment sparked my networking skills again and put me into contact with old professors and friends that are doing similar work in new media design.
Discovery:
career development,
education,
inner game,
networking
